El Rock Ape is my 1951+- Willys Wagon. I say "+-" because the body is pre 1950 (notice the round fender wells, a dead givaway) mated to a 1951 frame and unitized front end. I acquired it as an unfinished project from a fellow named Joe in late 2001. Joe did a darn fine job in engineering and construction, and there are very few things that I'll change. As of now (summer, 2002), I've been unable to physically tackle the project, because I'm busy trying to complete a workshop. Every time I look at El Rock Ape, I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas.
