Cueva del Gato - Cat Cave - January 1, 2006

Southwest of Ronda lies the world-famous Cueva de la Pileta with its Neandertal paintings. We couldn't find it, but this was no big deal since Pileta probably was closed for New Year just as the cave that we did find: Cueva del Gato. Supposedly, the cave's mouth resembles a cat, hence the name. Spain must have some ugly cats...
